Otto and his wife Shannon have a one year old daughter, Makena. It has been in operation since then and has for the last three years been voted as Best in Western Washington. While a middle school student in 1991, Otto started a DJ sound system business, Otto-Matic Mobile Music. In both 20, he was selected Middle School Wrestling Regional Coach of the Year. He was Explorer’s head wrestling coach from 2005-13 and his record during that time was 78-2. In 2003, Otto began a teaching and coaching career at Explorer Middle School and Mariner High School. In 2002, he was 2nd at the World Submission Wrestling Championships.
Other notable honors and achievements include being selected to the Washington Wrestling Report All-Century Team, and Washington’s High School State Half Century Wrestling Team.
